Alvin Wright of Paperclips Magazine writes the timeline of The Grinch—if he does celebrate birthdays—who officially turned 61 last October. This green and grumpy character originated from a children’s book called How the Grinch Stole Christmas! written by Theodor “Dr. Seuss” Geisel in 1957.
Maybe Christmas doesn’t come in a store. Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.
An all new 3D-animated comedy is the third screen adaptation with Benedict Cumberbatch as the new Grinch alongside Cameron Seely, Rashida Jones, Kenan Thompson, Angela Lansbury, Ramon Hamilton, and Pharrell Williams.
Composer Danny Elfman is responsible for the film’s score and tracking with Tyler the Creator‘s version of I Am the Grinch. They also collaborated on the new but familiar You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch.
The film premieres this coming November 9, 2018 alongside The Girl in the Spider’s Web and Overlord. Watch the trailer below:
