As murderous as Chucky was, ‘Child’s Play’ was an iconic movie that sent a lot of us in a doll-hating phase and it wasn’t a good feeling. I still remember chucking all my dolls in the storage room (where they may never see the light) in fear of them stabbing me in my sleep.

‘Child’s Play’ will always be one of those grotesquely horrifying films that you will never tire of. For a lot of us, it’s a guilty pleasure. Although it’s a reboot, the plot doesn’t remain entirely the same but a lot of it still revolves around the very first movie it is based upon, after all, it is a remake of the 1988 slasher film. The story still follows Karen giving Andy a toy doll named Chucky completely unaware of the doll’s “evil nature”.
The reboot will star Aubrey Plaza as Karen Barclay, Gabriel Bateman as Andy Barclay, Brian Tyree Henry as Detective Norris, Tim Matheson, and many more. ‘Child’s Play’ will hit theaters on June 21, 2019. It is directed by Lars Klevberg and is originally based on Child’s Play by Don Mancini. Check out the trailer here:
