It’s been a long wait everyone but we finally get a date for when season 3 of ‘The Stranger Things’ hits Netflix. Like in true American fashion, the series is set to release on July 4, 2019 - Independence Day. While there aren’t many teasers dropped to make legit conclusions, a bunch of fan theories has been resurfacing and they’re not entirely without basis.

The people behind the hit show said that the season will be darker than ever, which is saying a lot considering that the past two seasons weren’t exactly made of rainbows and unicorns. They also said that all these will be worth the wait, so we’ll see about that in a few months.

The Duffer brothers (creators) and Shawn Levy also said that the stakes are high on this one and they want to deliver something bigger and better than last year. I guess we’ll just have to patiently (not really) wait for it to drop.

More good news comes to mind as the original cast is set to return. We still get to see Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Winona Ryder (Joyce), Noel Schnapp (Will), David Harbour (Jim Hopper), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Natalia Dyer (Nancy), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan), and Joe Keery (Steve). In addition, the newcomers are also set to return like Max and Billy. There will be new characters from the season coming, as well, including Maya Thurman Hawke, although her character is still a bit hazy.
