With the DC Universe at the top of their game after the undeniable success of ‘Aquaman’, it’s pretty exciting to see what’s next in line. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait for too long as their next film is just getting ready to be released. This time, they take a more childlike stance, literally, in this upcoming movie.

‘Shazam!’ may not be a familiar name at all if you aren’t well educated with the original DC Comics but he is one of those heroes out there that bring out so much fun, you’ll wish the movie would come sooner. What’s unique about ‘Shazam!’ is that its main character is an actual kid who turns to an adult with superhuman powers, so there’s the gist of that.

The movie is yet to be released but we’re getting plenty of snippets and a whole load of teasers that make you want to just get out there and read the entire line. This time, a new still has resurfaced with Shazam himself facing the new kind of evil on his block: Doctor Sivana. Doctor Sivana is the main antagonist in the upcoming film and he’s being played by bad boy Mark Strong. He’s famous for always playing the villain in a lot of movies so this is something to look forward to.

Shazam is portrayed by Zachary Levi (adult) and Billy Batson is played by Asher Angel (teenager). Despite the fun and welcoming superhero antics, the story of Billy Batson runs deep.

The movie is set to release on April 5, 2019 and is directed by David Sandberg. Right now, the movie is said to have a budget of $90m. Check out the official teaser below:
