Raleigh, North Carolina, May 19, 2017—Paperclips magazine honors George R.R. Martin in his glorious contribution to literature that basically changed our lives in these past two decades. The man who brought us the Seven Kingdoms will be celebrated in this May issue for his epic fantasy A Song of Ice and Fire, which brought us five volumes that run around the human qualities of loyalty, pride, sexuality, piety, and morality of violence: A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, A Feast for Crows, A Dance with Dragons. As of January 2017, Martin’s masterpiece, which has sold over 60 million copies 20 years after it has released its first volume in 1996, has been translated into 47 languages worldwide.
The novel that is praised for its diverse portrayal of women celebrated its twentieth year of nonstop printing by the release of a special illustrated edition by Penguin Random House, with never-before-seen artwork, on October last year.
